This two-day course will be a practical workshop which focuses on writing in technical environments. The mutual goal is to develop working professionals' skills in scientific and technical writing and oral presentations. The hands-on course examines strategies for both oral and written communications. Actual in-class exercises will allow participants to uncover their writing potential in their respective industries, while exploring creative possibilities with fellow classmates. A course outline is below.

The instructor, Annette Hostoffer, combines 20+ years of experience in the communications' industry -- including serving as an advertising executive for the natural-gas utility industry and teaching public relations, advertising and communications at various universities. Ms. Hostoffer holds a bachelor's and master's degree in Journalism & Communication.
